Final performance times may change. This is not a fixed timetable; it is a sequence that still works when transport and crowd controls change.
Enter your chosen area
Leave large luggage at your hotel first. Station lockers may already be full, so they are a backup—not the plan. Carry one bag you can lift immediately.
Finish food and toilets
Eat before entering, then buy water and a small snack. Delivery and convenience-store queues become unreliable. Find the toilet and exit direction before dark.
Stop changing spots
Check battery, saved maps and the latest official notice. If you are with someone, agree on one meeting point in case mobile data slows down.
Let the first surge leave
Do not rush to the nearest station. Follow staff directions, walk to your saved alternative, or wait 30–60 minutes before leaving.

What first-time visitors actually need to know
Is the festival free? Where is a ticket required?
For Seoul, all of Nodeul Island requires an advance ticket. Busan separately sells paid seats. For every other viewing zone, check the final official map: not owning a paid seat does not mean every riverside or beach area is open for entry.
Should I find dinner and a café after I arrive?
No. Eat before entering the event district. Delivery may fail and nearby convenience stores and cafés can have long queues. Save two late-opening places near your alternative station or hotel, then recheck hours that day.
Where should I leave a suitcase?
Your hotel desk or accommodation is the safest choice. Lockers at Seoul and Busan stations can fill early on event days. Bring only a mat, power bank, water and a light layer in one carryable bag.
Can I return safely as a solo visitor?
Yes, if the nearest station is not your only plan. In Seoul, save two alternative stations. In Busan, choose one viewing district that matches your hotel direction. Taxi apps may also struggle after the show, so an overnight stay is safer for visitors from another city.
Which Korean names and apps should I save?
Use NAVER Map or KakaoMap and save 여의도 한강공원, 여의나루역, 광안리해수욕장, 광안역. Book intercity rail separately in Korail/KTX, and keep an image-translation app ready for last-minute Korean traffic notices.
